Ad| Sunday Specials at @thecord_restaurant. Last Sunday’s theme was Game & Autumn and we had so much fun checking out the kitchen stations and talking to the chefs, @thomas_kammeier & @fp__007 who explained and revealed tips on the preparation of the dishes. My highlights from the menu are: • Venison carpaccio & shaved belper tuber • Celery mushroom essence & braised venison shank • Game poultry - Pheasant breast & truffle jus • Grandma’s crumble plum cake The menu comes with accompanying wines from Schnaitmann Winery which complimented each dish really well. I was invited to an unforgettable culinary experience at @lalibela_maybachufer. Lalibela, an Ethiopian restaurant just recently opened it’s 5th branch in Berlin. We were treated to an array of distinctive dishes. Injera, a fermented, spongy pancake-like bread is eaten together with a variety of colourful dishes, like stews, vegetable curries & meat. Eating with fingers and getting them messy was a great experience by itself. I also love the idea of communal eating as everyone gathers around a circular metal tray and eats from it. You can’t leave without trying Ethiopian coffee which is known to be one of best Arabica coffee in the world, and I have to admit, it was strong but I did love the nutty taste. | Invitation |

We all know that @benedictberlin is famous for its fluffy buttermilk pancakes and diverse selection of breakfast dishes, but did you know that you can enjoy these dishes all day long? Their second venue in Prenzlauer Berg was buzzing when we arrived and I love the atmosphere, the service was outstanding and the food unbelievably tasty, be it savoury or sweet. My highlights from the menu are: • Massabacha - warm hummus, tahini, tomato seeds, harissa with chopped egg in olive oil & lemon • Eggplant Carpaccio - opened flame roasted eggplant, tahini, date honey, tomato seeds & pistachio • Grilled Cheese - homemade sourdough, emmental and ham, topped with cheese sauce and harissa fried egg. • Vegan Breakfast - savoury chickpea pancakes with fried onion, corn, tomato and herbs. • Raspberry and white chocolate pancakes - buttermilk pancakes filled with vanilla cream, topped with white chocolate and raspberry coulis.
