Chai Lai Orchid 🐘✨ A little review of one of our most beautiful stays in Thailand 🇹🇭 The Chai Lai Orchid in Chiang Mai is just a dream come true for us. For many elephants it is a new home, a new life. It’s breathtaking to see, how free and happy they are. Due to ethnic cleansing and the federal war in Myanmar, around 160,000 refugees live in neighbouring Thailand. For these indigenous minorities, especially women and girls, the organisation provides a safe home, education and work. It fights human trafficking and exploitation, to which many are unfortunately still exposed today. It has chosen to say no to unethical tourism and to work for social development. The last two days were definitely a highlight of our trip and the spirit on site was more than palpable. Das Chai Lai Orchid in Chiang Mai ist für uns nur ein wahr gewordener Traum. Für viele Elefanten ist es ein neues Zuhause, ein neues Leben. Es ist atemberaubend zu sehen, wie frei und glücklich sie sind. Aufgrund von ethnischen Säuberungen und des Bundeskrieges in Myanmar leben rund 160.000 Flüchtlinge im angrenzenden Thailand. Diesen indigenen Minderheiten, vor allem Frauen und Mädchen bietet die Organisation ein sicheres Zuhause, Bildung und Arbeit. Sie bekämpft den Menschenhandel und die Ausbeutung, denen heutzutage leider noch viele ausgesetzt sind. Sie hat sich dafür entschieden, Nein zum unethischen Tourismus zu sagen und sich für die soziale Entwicklung einzusetzen.
