The beach is my happy place and one of my favorite beaches is Greyhound Rock. Greyhound Rock is just a few miles north of Davenport, CA. It is a steep walk down to the beach (which makes for a strenuous walk back up) but it’s gorgeous. If you go at low tide the tide pools are amazing and you can also climb the huge rock. Parking is easy as there is a big parking lot. You’ll also find picnic tables on the bluff overlooking the gorgeous beach and ocean below. #favoritebeach #davenport #santacruzcounty #californiabeaches

Want to see a view like this? Just about a 75-minute drive South of San Francisco, you get to see these hidden pristine beaches. Shark Fin is one of the picturesque small secluded beaches that is perfect to spend the day. There are several other small caves and rock arch features scattered along the shore in addition to the iconic “fin” rock. The walk down is narrow and steep but manageable. If you don't feel like going down to the beach, walk to the outlook in the northern part of the cove for the best views of the fin. 📍Location: Shark Fin Cove in Davenport, California. 🕣Hours: 8 AM to sunset 🚗 Parking: Free parking on the shoulder along Highway 1.
