Barra Canyon 🛞 We booked our tour through @wildwadirum - a Bedouin family-owned company providing an authentic desert experience and eager to show you the way of the desert-dweller 🐪 You can choose from 2-hour to multi day tours. We went for the 5-hour tour option and we saw the main spots of interest. Of course, you could choose and personalize the program the way you want. I was impressed by the striking stretches of red and white sands, the perfectly sculptured by nature sandstone peaks and formations, the Anfishiyeh Inscriptions, the Burdah Rock Bridge and the Umm Fruth Arch 🏜️ 💡TIPS: • During the tour you will sit outside on two parallel benches on the back part of the vehicle and at every location you will be able to leave the “trunk” and explore. It’s quite cool. • Take a jacket and/ or a scarf as even if the weather is warm you might get chilly due to the movement of the car + this will help you protect yourself from the sun and the sand. • Wear comfortable shoes as you will need them for reaching the hotspots of the tour. • Bring water - water was provided for us by the tour agency but be prepared just in case. • My recommendation is to book at least a 5-hour tour because even if it sounds long time flies very quick. 🇬🇷 This Greek island blew me away 🤯 Seriously, I was only meant to do a day trip from Naxos to visit Koufonisia but the moment the boat reached the port I was besotted with the small Cycladic island’s electric blue water and cute town, so insisted on staying overnight to explore more of it. I told the tour boat I wouldn’t be joining them on the way home to Naxos and they completely understood. Best decision ever because Koufonisi, although small, had some of the best beaches and clearest water I’ve ever seen in Greece (and the world). There are day trips from Mykonos, Paros and Naxos but if you have time I definitely recommend taking the ferry and staying overnight.
