Can you guess where this is 👀 So yesterday we posted a super long cinematic drone movie which we knew wasn’t ideal for this platform but we decided to post it anyway because we loved this place that much! 👀😍🫶 Magical Mascota! As our time here on the west coast of Mexico draws to an end we can say without hesitation that the mountain town of Mascota was our absolute favourite place! 🫶 Just out of this world scenery, epic volcanoes and mountains and rolling mist, we could have stayed forever! But In just two days we’re on the next chapter 📚 First up is Mexico City for a couple of days and then on to the east coast to explore Mayan sites and cenotes for 6 weeks! 🥹 But Mascota will always have a place in our hearts! ✈️ You’ve heard of Puerto Vallarta? But have you heard of Mascota? 🏔️ Nestled in the mountains just a few hours drive from lively Puerto Vallarta is the mountain town of Mascota. So many tourists visit San Sebastián and don’t go as far as Mascota but in our opinion, having visited both, Mascota is a must see! Especially if you love photographs of beautiful places! * 🌋 Mascota volcanic field - just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the centre! * 🌿Yerabuena - a small village about 15 minutes drive from the town centre and it’s full of charm! * 🚶‍♀️Mirador Guadalupe - The walk the locals do! The highest view point over the town of Mascota crowned with a cross! * ⛪️ Basílica de la virgen de los Delores - You’ll find this gorgeous church towering over Mascota in the main square. * 🏔️ Mirador cruz de romero - about a 20-25 minute drive from Mascota towards Talpa you’ll find this stunning view point and old basilica! - absolutely worth the journey as the drive is one of the most scenic we’ve ever done!
