Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. You can see pandas of all ages and watch them eat bamboo, play, and nap in their enclosures. Make sure to arrive early to avoid the crowds.
Afternoon
After spending the morning with the pandas, head to Jinli Ancient Street for lunch and shopping. This pedestrian street is lined with traditional-style buildings and shops selling souvenirs and snacks. Try some Sichuan-style snacks like spicy hot pot, fried chicken, or dumplings.

Take a day trip to the Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Buddha statue, carved into a cliff, is over 71 meters tall and was completed in 803 AD. You can take a boat ride to see the statue from the river or climb up the mountain for a closer view.
Afternoon
After visiting the Buddha, head to Huanglongxi Ancient Town for lunch and sightseeing. The town has well-preserved architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties and is a popular filming location for historical dramas. Try some local snacks like rice cakes, sweet potato balls, or sesame cakes.

Start your day with a visit to the Wenshu Monastery, the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. You can explore the temple complex and see the various halls, courtyards, and gardens. Make sure to try some vegetarian food at the temple's restaurant.

Take a day trip to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient engineering marvel, built in the 3rd century BC, still functions today and provides water to the Chengdu Plain. You can see the various canals, gates, and bridges and learn about the history and significance of the system.

After visiting the irrigation system, head to the nearby Qingcheng Mountain for lunch and hiking. The mountain is a Taoist holy site and has numerous temples, pavilions, and waterfalls. You can hike to the peak for panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Spend your last day in Chengdu exploring the Sichuan Cuisine Museum. This interactive museum showcases the history and culture of Sichuan cuisine and allows you to learn about the ingredients, cooking techniques, and regional specialties. You can even try some of the dishes and snacks.
Afternoon
After visiting the museum, head to the New Century Global Center, one of the largest buildings in the world. This mega-mall has everything from luxury brands to amusement parks and even an indoor beach. You can shop, eat, and have fun.
Evening
End your trip with a visit to the Anren Ancient Town for dinner and cultural immersion. This town has well-preserved mansions, temples, and museums from the Qing dynasty and is a popular destination for history buffs. You can try some local delicacies like smoked bacon, rice wine, or tea eggs.
