Start your day by exploring the ancient town of Jixian, also known as Jixian County or Jixian Ancient City. This well-preserved town is a perfect example of traditional Chinese architecture and culture. Take a stroll along the narrow streets and alleys, admire the ancient buildings and temples, and learn about the town's rich history.
Afternoon
After lunch, head to the Huangyaguan Great Wall, which is located about 30 kilometers north of Jixian. This section of the Great Wall was built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577) and was renovated during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Huangyaguan Great Wall is famous for its beautiful scenery and unique features, such as the Flying Eagle Flies Facing Upward watchtower and the Nine-Floor Tower . You can either hike or take a cable car to the top of the wall, and enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Morning
Today, explore the Tianjin Eye, which is a giant Ferris wheel located on the Yongle Bridge over the Haihe River. The Tianjin Eye is 120 meters in diameter and has 48 capsules, each of which can hold up to 8 passengers. The ride takes about 30 minutes and offers a bird's-eye view of the city and the river.
Afternoon
After the Tianjin Eye, head to the Ancient Culture Street, which is a pedestrian street lined with traditional buildings, shops, and restaurants. Here, you can find all kinds of souvenirs, handicrafts, and local snacks, such as the Goubuli steamed buns, the Erduoyan fried rice cakes, and the mahua (fried dough twists). You can also visit the Temple of the Queen of Heaven, which is the largest Taoist temple in Tianjin.
Evening
In the evening, try some of Tianjin's famous street food at Nanshi Food Street, which is located near the Tianjin Railway Station. Here, you can find all kinds of snacks and dishes, such as the fried dough twists, the fried rice cakes, the jianbing (Chinese crepes), the roujiamo (Chinese hamburgers), and the hot pot.

Today, take a day trip to the Dule Temple, which is located about 80 kilometers southeast of Tianjin. The Dule Temple was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and is famous for its wooden pagoda, which is the oldest and highest wooden pagoda in China. The pagoda is 32 meters tall and has nine stories, each of which has a balcony with a carved railing.
Afternoon
After visiting the Dule Temple, head to the Eastern Qing Tombs, which are located about 40 kilometers northeast of Tianjin. The Eastern Qing Tombs are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are the burial place of five emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) and their empresses, concubines, and other family members. The tombs are surrounded by beautiful natural scenery and are a perfect example of Chinese imperial architecture and culture.

Today, visit the Tianjin Museum, which is located in the heart of the city. The Tianjin Museum is a modern museum that showcases the history, culture, and art of Tianjin and its surrounding areas. The museum has a collection of over 200,000 artifacts, including bronzes, ceramics, jade, calligraphy, paintings, and folk art.
Afternoon
After the Tianjin Museum, head to the Italian Style Street, which is a pedestrian street lined with buildings that were built during the Italian concession period (1901-1947). The street has a European atmosphere and is a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Here, you can find all kinds of Italian-themed restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as street performers and musicians.

Today, take a boat tour of the Haihe River, which is the main river that flows through Tianjin. The boat tour offers a different perspective of the city and its landmarks, such as the Tianjin Eye, the Tianjin TV Tower, the Tianjin Grand Theatre, and the Haihe Cultural Square. You can also see the different architectural styles that coexist in Tianjin, such as the traditional Chinese, the European, and the modern.
Afternoon
After the boat tour, head to the Tianjin Zoo, which is located in the Nankai District. The Tianjin Zoo is a large zoo that has a variety of animals, including giant pandas, Siberian tigers, African lions, kangaroos, and many more. The zoo also has a botanical garden and a lake that you can explore.
