Start your first day in Porto by visiting the Livraria Lello, one of the oldest bookshops in Portugal and the inspiration for Harry Potter's library. After that, walk to the Cl rigos Tower, a baroque bell tower that offers breathtaking views of the city.
Afternoon
After admiring the views from the tower, head towards the Ribeira district and stroll along the Douro River. Take a river cruise to see the city from a different perspective. End your afternoon with a visit to the Port Wine Cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, where you can learn about the history of port wine and enjoy a tasting.
Morning
On your second day, start with a visit to the S o Bento Train Station, famous for its stunning azulejo tiles that depict scenes from Portuguese history. From there, walk to the Porto Cathedral, a Romanesque church with Gothic and Baroque influences.
Afternoon
After admiring the cathedral, head to the Crystal Palace Gardens for a picnic lunch with stunning views of the Douro River and the city. Spend the afternoon exploring the gardens and the nearby Pal cio de Cristal.
Morning
On your last day in Porto, take a day trip to the nearby city of Guimar es, the birthplace of Portugal. Visit the Guimar es Castle, the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, and the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afternoon
After exploring Guimar es, head back to Porto and visit the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most important contemporary art museums in Portugal.
