After your visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, head to the Bogyoke Aung San Market, formerly known as Scott Market. This colonial-era building is home to hundreds of stalls selling local handicrafts, jewelry, and souvenirs. Take your time to browse and haggle for a bargain.

Begin your day with a visit to the Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, which houses a reclining Buddha statue that is over 200 feet long. The statue is beautifully decorated with gold leaf and gemstones, and the temple is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city.
