5-Day Puerto Rico Adventure Itinerary

Begin your day with a visit to El Yunque National Forest. This tropical rainforest is home to diverse flora and fauna, as well as several hiking trails that offer stunning views of waterfalls and lush greenery. It's a great way to connect with nature.

After exploring El Yunque, head back to San Juan for lunch at one of its many local eateries. In the afternoon, visit San Juan National Historic Site (Sitio Histórico Nacional de San Juan). This site includes several historic fortifications that played crucial roles in Puerto Rico's history.

Conclude your day with a relaxing walk along Paseo de la Princesa. This scenic promenade offers beautiful views of San Juan Bay and is lined with statues, fountains, and street vendors selling local crafts.

Take an early ferry or flight to Vieques Island for a day trip. Start your beach day at Sun Bay Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The soft white sand and clear blue waters make it perfect for swimming or just lounging around.

For lunch, you can grab something from one of the local food trucks near Sun Bay Beach. In the afternoon, head over to Bioluminescent Bay (Mosquito Bay). While you won't see much during daylight hours, it's worth checking out so you know where it is for later tonight.
