Spend the morning exploring Furano, a picturesque town known for its lavender fields (although they won't be in bloom in the spring). Visit the Furano Cheese Factory, where you can see how cheese is made and sample some of their delicious cheeses.

After lunch, head over to the Blue Pond, a stunning pond that gets its vibrant blue color from natural minerals in the water. Take a walk around the pond and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

End your day with a visit to Asahikawa Ramen Village, a collection of eight different ramen shops all located in one building. Try a bowl from each shop and see which one is your favorite!

Start your day with a visit to the Sapporo Beer Museum, where you can learn about the history of beer in Japan and sample some of Sapporo's famous brews.

After lunch, head over to the Sapporo TV Tower, a 147-meter-tall tower that offers stunning views of the city.

End your day with a relaxing soak in one of the many onsens in the area. The Noboribetsu Onsen is a popular option, with several different baths to choose from and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Spend the morning exploring the beautiful Asahiyama Zoo, one of Japan's most famous zoos. See the penguins waddle, the polar bears swim, and the snow monkeys play.

After lunch, head over to the Asahikawa Winter Festival Museum, where you can learn about the history of the Asahikawa Winter Festival and see some of the amazing snow sculptures from past festivals.

Spend the morning exploring the historic town of Otaru. Visit the Otaru Music Box Museum, where you can see a collection of beautiful music boxes from around the world, then stroll along Sakaimachi Street, a charming street lined with old buildings that now house shops and cafes.

After lunch, head over to the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, where you can learn about the history of whisky in Japan and see how Nikka whisky is made.

End your day with a visit to the Sapporo Snow Festival, held annually in early February. While the festival won't be happening during your visit, you can still see some of the snow sculptures on display at the Sapporo Snow Museum.
