Begin your first day in Leh by exploring the city’s rich cultural heritage. Visit the iconic Leh Palace, a nine-story palace built in the 17th century by King Sengge Namgyal. The palace offers a panoramic view of the city and is home to an interesting museum showcasing rare artifacts and antiques. After that, head to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa situated on a hilltop that offers a serene view of the cityscape.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, explore the local markets of Leh, where you can find everything from traditional Ladakhi attire and handicrafts to souvenirs and jewelry. Take a leisurely walk through the narrow lanes and try some local delicacies like momos and thukpa from street vendors.

On your second day, embark on a scenic drive to the Nubra Valley, which is located around 150 km north of Leh. The drive takes you through the world’s highest motorable road, Khardung La, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Afternoon
Once you reach Nubra Valley, take a camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder, home to the rare double-humped Bactrian camels. After that, visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley.

On your third day, drive to the picturesque Pangong Tso Lake, located around 160 km from Leh. The lake is situated at an altitude of 4,350 meters and is one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world. The drive takes you through the Chang La pass, which is the third highest motorable road in the world.

On your fourth day, head back to Leh and visit the Hemis Monastery, which is the largest and wealthiest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh. The monastery is known for its stunning architecture and rare collection of ancient artifacts and thangkas.

After that, visit the Thiksey Monastery, an impressive 12-story monastery that resembles the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. The monastery offers a stunning view of the surrounding valley and houses a 15-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha.

On your fifth day, take a scenic drive to the Zanskar Valley, located around 250 km from Leh. The valley is known for its stunning landscapes and adventure activities like trekking and river rafting.

Once you reach Zanskar Valley, explore the beautiful landscapes and visit the Phugtal Monastery, a hidden gem situated in the heart of the valley. The monastery is built into a cave and is home to around 70 monks.

On your sixth day, head back to Leh and visit the Stok Palace, the current residence of the royal family of Ladakh. The palace is home to a museum that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh.

After that, visit the Leh Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Ladakh. The mosque is known for its stunning architecture and intricate carvings.

On your last day in Leh, take a scenic drive to the Tso Moriri Lake, located around 240 km from Leh. The lake is situated at an altitude of 4,522 meters and is known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning surroundings.
Afternoon
After reaching Tso Moriri Lake, take a walk along the lake and enjoy the serene surroundings. You can also indulge in some adventure activities like kayaking and river rafting.
