Start the day with a scenic ferry ride to Put-in-Bay and enjoy the views of Lake Erie. Begin exploring the island with a visit to Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial, which honors the heroes of the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. Take the elevator to the top of the monument, which offers panoramic views of the island and lake.
Afternoon
After the monument, rent a golf cart to explore the island's many attractions. Explore the caves at Perry's Cave and Family Fun Center, and then head to Heineman's Winery to take a tour and sample some of their award-winning wines. Finish the afternoon by relaxing at South Bass Island State Park, which features a sandy beach, swimming area, and picnic shelters.
Morning
Start the day with breakfast at Pasquale's Cafe, which is known for their delicious crepes and omelettes. After breakfast, take a leisurely bike ride around the island on the many bike paths and enjoy the island's natural beauty. Stop by the Butterfly House to see hundreds of butterflies from around the world.
Afternoon
After your bike ride, head to the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center to learn about the island's flora and fauna. Then, take a ferry to Middle Bass Island to visit the historic Lonz Winery, which was built in 1870 and offers stunning views of Lake Erie. Take a tour and enjoy some of their award-winning wines.
