Start the day with a sunrise hike up Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the eastern seaboard. After descending, stop by Jordan Pond House for their famous popovers and tea.
Afternoon
Take a stroll through the charming town of Bar Harbor and browse the many shops and galleries. Then, take a scenic drive along the Park Loop Road and stop at some of the many overlooks for breathtaking views of the coastline.
Morning
Go horseback riding through the park with Wildwood Stables, taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Then, hike up to Bubble Rock, a unique glacial erratic perched on the edge of a mountain.
Afternoon
Take a leisurely bike ride on the carriage roads, a series of historic paths designed by John D. Rockefeller Jr. that wind through the park. Stop by the beautiful Eagle Lake for a picnic lunch.
Morning
Start the day with a kayaking tour with National Park Sea Kayak Tours, exploring the pristine waters around Mount Desert Island. Keep an eye out for seals, eagles, and other wildlife.
Afternoon
Visit the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, one of the most photographed lighthouses in the United States. Then, head over to Southwest Harbor for a visit to the Wendell Gilley Museum, which showcases the art of bird carving.
Morning
Drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain and take a short hike to explore some of the many trails on the summit. Then, head to Sand Beach for a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean.

Take a ranger-led tour of the historic Rockefeller estate, known as The Eyrie. Learn about the history and architecture of the stunning home and grounds.
Morning
Take a scenic flight over the park with Acadia Air Tours, getting a bird's-eye view of the stunning landscape. Then, head to the Sieur de Monts Nature Center for a walk through the beautiful gardens and exhibits.
Afternoon
Visit the Abbe Museum, which showcases the art and culture of the Wabanaki people, the indigenous inhabitants of the region. Then, take a hike up the Beehive Trail for some incredible views.
