Start your day by visiting the Dowa Temple which is located in a picturesque setting on a mountain surrounded by tea plantations. The temple is famous for its 38-feet-long reclining Buddha statue which is the largest in Sri Lanka.
Afternoon
After the temple, head to the Lipton s Seat which is a popular viewpoint located at an altitude of 1,970 meters and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding tea estates. On the way, visit the Dambatenne Tea Factory where you can learn about the tea-making process and taste freshly brewed tea.
Morning
Visit the Buduruwagala Temple which has some of the finest and well-preserved ancient rock carvings in Sri Lanka. The temple has seven rock-cut statues dating back to the 10th century.
Afternoon
After the temple, take a scenic drive to the Diyaluma Falls which is one of the highest waterfalls in Sri Lanka with a height of 220 meters. You can hike to the top of the waterfall and swim in the natural pool.
