Start the day at the Grand Palace, an iconic landmark in Bangkok and a must-visit for anyone in the city. The palace complex features numerous buildings and halls showcasing traditional Thai architecture and art. Be sure to visit Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is considered the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand.
Afternoon
Head over to the nearby Wat Pho, home to the famous Reclining Buddha statue and one of the largest temple complexes in the city. Afterward, take a tuk-tuk to the bustling Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the world's largest outdoor markets with over 15,000 stalls selling everything from traditional Thai handicrafts to vintage clothing and street food.
Morning
Take a day trip to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand and home to numerous ancient temples and ruins. Visit the Wat Mahathat temple to see the famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots, and the Wat Yai Chai Mongkol temple with its giant reclining Buddha statue.
Afternoon
Return to Bangkok and explore the trendy neighborhood of Thonglor, known for its hip bars, cafes, and restaurants. Check out the unique street art and grab a bite to eat at one of the many trendy eateries.
