Start your morning with a walk through the Boston Common and the Public Garden, two of the city's most iconic parks. Take a ride on the famous swan boats in the Public Garden's lagoon, and see if you can spot the Make Way for Ducklings statues.
Afternoon
Head to the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a bustling shopping and dining destination since 1743. Grab lunch at the Quincy Market Colonnade, where you can choose from a variety of local and international food vendors. Afterwards, walk the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile red line that takes you through 16 of Boston's most significant historic sites, including the Massachusetts State House and Paul Revere's House.

Start your day with a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, one of the largest art museums in the country with over 450,000 works of art. You can easily spend several hours here admiring everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary masterpieces.
Afternoon
After the museum, take a stroll down Newbury Street, Boston's premier shopping destination with over 100 stores, boutiques, and galleries. For lunch, grab a sandwich or lobster roll at the popular New England eatery, Sam LaGrassa's.

Take a trip out to Cambridge and visit two of the world's most prestigious universities, Harvard and MIT. Take a guided tour of the campuses or explore on your own, and make sure to stop by the Harvard Coop for some university merchandise.
Afternoon
Head back to Boston and visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, a stunning collection of art and artifacts housed in a beautiful Venetian-style palace. The museum's centerpiece is the courtyard garden, which is a work of art in itself.
