Start your day by taking a boat ride from Drake Bay to Ca o Island, a protected biological reserve located about 12km off the coast of Costa Rica. The boat ride itself is a beautiful experience, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the lush green coastline of the Osa Peninsula. Once you arrive at the island, take a guided tour of the island's archaeological sites, which are believed to have been used for religious ceremonies by the indigenous people who lived there centuries ago.
Afternoon
After your tour, head to the island's beautiful white sand beach for some snorkeling. The waters around the island are teeming with marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and even whales and dolphins if you're lucky. You can rent snorkeling gear on the island, or bring your own. Take some time to relax on the beach and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Evening
As the sun starts to set, head back to Drake Bay for dinner at one of the local restaurants. The town is known for its fresh seafood, so be sure to try some of the local specialties like ceviche and grilled fish. After dinner, take a stroll along the beach and enjoy the cool evening breeze.

Today, take a guided hike through the Corcovado National Park, which is located on the Osa Peninsula and is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. Your guide will help you spot animals like monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds, and will teach you about the unique ecology of the rainforest. The hike can be challenging, so make sure to bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes.
Afternoon
After your hike, head back to Drake Bay and take a boat tour of the mangrove forests that line the coastline. These forests are home to a variety of wildlife, including crocodiles, monkeys, and many species of birds. Your guide will take you through the narrow waterways of the mangroves, pointing out different species and explaining the important role that these forests play in the local ecosystem.
Evening
For dinner, head to one of the local restaurants in Drake Bay and try some of the traditional Costa Rican dishes like gallo pinto (rice and beans) or casado (a typical Costa Rican plate with rice, beans, meat, and plantains). After dinner, relax at your hotel and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the jungle.

Today, take a day trip to the nearby Corcovado National Park, which is considered one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. You can choose from a variety of guided tours, including hikes through the rainforest, birdwatching tours, and boat tours of the coastline. The park is home to a staggering array of wildlife, including tapirs, jaguars, and all four species of monkeys found in Costa Rica.
Afternoon
After your tour, head back to Drake Bay for lunch at one of the local restaurants. Try the traditional Costa Rican dish of arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) or a hearty bowl of sopa de mariscos (seafood soup). After lunch, take a relaxing swim in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean or simply relax on the beach and enjoy the stunning views of the coastline.
Evening
For dinner, head to one of the local restaurants and enjoy some live music. Many of the restaurants in Drake Bay have live music on the weekends, featuring local musicians playing traditional Costa Rican music. Enjoy a cold beer or a fruity cocktail and soak in the lively atmosphere.
