Arrive at the Chamundeshwari Temple, 13 kilometers from Mysuru city center, early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Climb the 1,008 steps to the top of the hill to visit the temple and take in the breathtaking views of the surroundings. You can also take the road to reach the temple, but the climb is a more fulfilling experience.
Afternoon
Head back down and have lunch at the nearby Nalpak Restaurant, known for its delicious South Indian thali. After lunch, visit the Mysuru Palace, the grand residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and one of the most visited tourist attractions in India. Take a guided tour to learn about the palace's history and admire the intricate architecture.
Evening
Stroll through the Devaraja Market, a bustling bazaar with vendors selling everything from flowers to spices to traditional clothing. End the day with a visit to the Brindavan Gardens, a beautifully manicured garden with musical fountains that come alive in the evening.
