Spiritual Beginnings in Yamunotri

Morning
Begin your Char Dham Yatra with a drive from Haridwar to Yamunotri. The journey is scenic and takes approximately 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, start the trek to Yamunotri Temple, which is about 6 km from Janki Chatti. The trek offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Yamunotri Temple is one of the four sacred shrines of Char Dham and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
Afternoon
After offering prayers at the temple, visit the Surya Kund, a hot water spring near the temple where devotees cook rice as a prasad (offering). The cooked rice is taken back home as a blessed food item. Then head towards Divya Shila, a rock pillar that is worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. This place holds great religious significance.
Evening
Return to Janki Chatti and relax at your accommodation. Enjoy a traditional dinner at Hotel Kalindi which offers local cuisine and a comfortable stay for pilgrims.
