Learn about the history of the Canadian Confederation and the role this building played in it. Afterward, head over to the Charlottetown Farmers' Market and sample some local delicacies, such as fresh seafood, homemade jams, and artisanal bread.

Spend your afternoon exploring the city's beautiful Victorian-era architecture. Take a stroll down Great George Street, where you'll find some of the city's most well-preserved historic homes and buildings. Stop by St. Dunstan's Basilica, a stunning Roman Catholic church with beautiful stained-glass windows and intricate stonework. Afterward, take a scenic drive out to Cavendish Beach and enjoy the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Spend your morning exploring the Prince Edward Island National Park. Take a hike along one of the park's many trails and enjoy the stunning scenery. Don't forget to visit the Green Gables Heritage Place, the inspiration for L.M. Montgomery's famous novel, Anne of Green Gables.

After working up an appetite, head over to Water Prince Corner Shop for some of the best seafood chowder on the island. The restaurant is housed in a charming historic building and has been serving up delicious seafood dishes for over 30 years.

Visit the Confederation Centre of the Arts and explore their many galleries and exhibits. The center is home to the Charlottetown Festival, a celebration of Canadian theatre that runs from June to September. If you're visiting during the festival, be sure to catch a show!
