Begin your day trip by taking a ferry from Rhodes to the charming island of Symi. Once you arrive, head straight to the Monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis. This stunning 18th-century monastery is a must-visit attraction on the island and is located on the southwest coast of Symi. The monastery is set against a backdrop of beautiful mountains, crystal clear waters, and a picturesque harbor.

After a visit to the monastery, head back to the port and take a walk around the island's main town, also called Symi. This charming town is built amphitheatrically around a natural harbor and is filled with colorful neoclassical buildings, narrow alleys, and charming squares. Take a stroll around the town's waterfront and admire the colorful fishing boats, and then head to one of the many tavernas for a delicious lunch. We recommend trying the local specialties, such as fresh seafood and Mediterranean vegetables.

In the evening, take a water taxi to one of the island's secluded beaches, such as Agios Emilianos or Marathounda. Here, you can swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea and relax on the picturesque beaches. As the day comes to an end, make your way back to the port and enjoy a refreshing drink at one of the seaside cafes.
