Start your day off in the charming city of Denton with a visit to the Denton Square. Explore the historic courthouse and browse the unique shops and boutiques that line the square. Don't forget to grab a cup of coffee from one of the local cafes.
Afternoon
After lunch, head over to the Denton County Historical Park, where you can learn about the rich history of the area. Take a stroll through the park and visit the various historic buildings, including a log cabin and a one-room schoolhouse.
Morning
Spend the morning exploring the outdoors at Ray Roberts Lake State Park. Go for a hike along one of the scenic trails or rent a kayak or paddleboard to explore the lake. Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in one of the park's designated picnic areas.
Afternoon
After lunch, make your way to the Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center. Take a guided nature walk through the center's trails and learn about the local flora and fauna. If you're lucky, you might even spot some wildlife!

After the museum, head over to the North Texas State Fairgrounds. If you're visiting during the fair season, be sure to check out the various exhibits and attractions. If not, you can still explore the fairgrounds and visit the on-site petting zoo.
