Start your journey early in the morning and drive from Nairobi to the border of Tanzania at Namanga. After border formalities, continue your journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive will take about 8 hours, but you can break it up with stops at local villages and markets along the way. Once you arrive at the Serengeti, spend the rest of the day on a game drive, spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and other African wildlife.
Afternoon
After your game drive, head to your campsite or lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. Many campsites have a swimming pool, which is perfect for the kids to cool off in. You can also take a guided nature walk near the campsite, where you'll learn about the local flora and fauna.
Morning
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Serengeti before enjoying breakfast at camp. After breakfast, set out on another game drive, this time in search of the elusive Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). If you're lucky, you may even see a wildebeest migration.
Afternoon
After your game drive, pack up camp and head to the border of Tanzania and Zambia/Zimbabwe. The drive will take about 7 hours, so be sure to bring plenty of snacks and entertainment for the kids. Once you arrive at Victoria Falls, settle into your hotel or campsite and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Morning
Spend the morning exploring Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. You can take a guided tour of the falls and learn about their history and significance, or simply walk around and take in the breathtaking views. Be sure to bring raincoats, as the falls create a lot of mist.
Afternoon
After lunch, cross the border into Botswana and head to Chobe National Park. The drive will take about 2 hours, and you'll need to go through border formalities, so be prepared with your passports and paperwork. Once you arrive at Chobe, take a boat ride on the Chobe River, where you'll see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife.
Morning
Wake up early for a game drive in Chobe National Park. This is the best time to see predators like lions and leopards, as they are most active in the early morning. After your game drive, pack up camp and head to the Okavango Delta. The drive will take about 6 hours, so be prepared with snacks and entertainment for the kids.
Afternoon
Once you arrive at the Okavango Delta, take a mokoro ride (a traditional dugout canoe) through the waterways of the delta. You'll see a variety of birdlife and may even spot elephants bathing in the water. The mokoro ride is slow and peaceful, which is perfect for young children.
Morning
Spend the morning exploring the Okavango Delta on foot or by mokoro. You can take a guided nature walk, where you'll learn about the local flora and fauna, or simply relax at camp and take in the scenery.
Afternoon
After lunch, drive to Etosha National Park in Namibia. The drive will take about 7 hours, so be prepared with snacks and entertainment for the kids. Once you arrive at Etosha, set up camp or check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Morning
Wake up early for a game drive in Etosha National Park. The park is known for its large herds of elephants and other wildlife, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. After your game drive, pack up camp and head to Sossusvlei. The drive will take about 8 hours, so be prepared with snacks and entertainment for the kids.
Afternoon
Once you arrive at Sossusvlei, set up camp or check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. You can take a dip in the pool or explore the nearby sand dunes.
