Start your day in Durango with a scenic ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This historic train takes you through the stunning San Juan National Forest and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Afternoon
After your train ride, head over to Animas River Trail for a leisurely walk or bike ride along the river. For lunch, stop by Steamworks Brewing Company for some delicious craft beer and pub-style food.

Spend your morning exploring Mesa Verde National Park, home to some of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in North America. Take a guided tour or hike one of the park's many trails to fully appreciate the history and beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afternoon
After your visit to Mesa Verde, head back to Durango and visit the historic downtown area. You'll find a variety of shops, galleries, and restaurants to explore. For lunch, check out the seasonal menu at The Palace Restaurant, housed in a historic building dating back to 1892.

Get an early start and head over to Purgatory Resort, just 25 miles north of Durango. Spend the morning skiing or snowboarding on the mountain's 1,605 skiable acres, or take a snowshoe tour if you're not into skiing.

After a morning on the slopes, grab a quick lunch at the resort and head back to Durango for some relaxation time. Soak in the natural hot springs at Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs, or pamper yourself with a massage or facial.

Start your day with a scenic drive on the San Juan Skyway, a 236-mile loop that takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Colorado. Stop at the town of Silverton for a quick breakfast at Handlebars Food & Saloon.

After your drive, head over to Durango Mountain Bike Park for some downhill mountain biking. With 40 miles of trails and stunning mountain views, this park is a must-visit for adrenaline junkies.

Spend your final day in Durango exploring the San Juan National Forest. Take a hike on one of the many trails, or go fishing in one of the area's pristine mountain streams.
Afternoon
After your outdoor adventure, head back to Durango for some shopping. The town features a variety of boutiques and specialty stores, including Maria's Bookshop and the Honeyville store.
