Drive from Edison, NJ to Niagara Falls, NY. The drive is approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes. Start the day with a quick breakfast at one of the many diners on the way, like the Americana Diner in East Windsor, NJ.
Afternoon
Once you arrive in Niagara Falls, check into your hotel and head straight to Niagara Falls State Park, which is open year-round and offers unforgettable views of the thundering falls. Take a Maid of the Mist boat tour, which takes you on a journey through the Niagara River and right up to the base of Horseshoe Falls. After the boat ride, stop by the Cave of the Winds attraction, where you can get up close and personal with Bridal Veil Falls. End the afternoon with a stroll along the Niagara River Gorge Trail, which provides stunning views of the river and the falls.

Take a scenic drive along Lake Ontario, starting at Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming town known for its wineries, historic sites, and scenic views. Stop by the Fort Niagara State Park, which is home to a historic fort that played a key role in the French and Indian War, the American Revolution, and the War of 1812. Walk along the shore of Lake Ontario and enjoy the view of the Toronto skyline in the distance.

Continue along the lake and stop at the town of Oswego, which is known for its lighthouse, historic sites, and waterfront restaurants. Visit the H. Lee White Maritime Museum, which showcases the region's rich maritime history. End the afternoon with a visit to the Sandy Island Beach State Park, which offers a beautiful beach and hiking trails.

Drive back towards Niagara Falls and visit the Niagara Wine Trail, which features over 20 wineries and vineyards. Stop by the Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, which has been producing award-winning wines for over 30 years. Take a tour of the vineyards and sample some of the delicious wines.
Afternoon
After the wine tour, visit the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, which offers hands-on cooking classes, wine tastings, and a restaurant run by culinary students. Take a class or enjoy a meal at Savor, the restaurant run by the students.
