Morning

Take a day trip to Cat Ba National Park, where you can hike through the lush jungle and see some of the native wildlife, such as the endangered Cat Ba Langur. Stop at the Hospital Cave, a former secret hospital and safe house during the Vietnam War.

Head to Monkey Island, where you can see some of the cheeky primates in their natural habitat, or take a boat tour to the nearby Lan Ha Bay for some more kayaking and swimming. In the afternoon, relax on the white sand beaches of Cat Ba Island.
