Afterward, take a walk down the Royal Mile, where you can visit the Writers' Museum, dedicated to the lives of Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, and Robert Louis Stevenson.

Take a train to Fort William, the gateway to the Highlands, where you can board the Jacobite Steam Train, also known as the Hogwarts Express. The train will take you through the stunning Scottish countryside, including the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was used as the location for the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films.
