Start your day in Hoi An by exploring the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a walking tour of the town and marvel at the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Chinese Assembly Halls, and the old merchant houses. Enjoy some traditional Vietnamese coffee and banh mi for breakfast at a local cafe.
Afternoon
After lunch, take a short bike ride or taxi to An Bang Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. Relax on the sandy beach, rent a sun lounger, and take a dip in the ocean. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Tra Que Vegetable Village, where you can take a tour and learn about the local farming practices. Don't forget to try some of the fresh herbs and vegetables.
Morning
Take a day trip to the My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once the spiritual center of the Champa Kingdom. Explore the ancient ruins, temples, and towers, and learn about the history of the site. On the way back to Hoi An, stop at the Thanh Ha Pottery Village, where you can watch local artisans at work and even try your hand at making your own pottery.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, take a cooking class and learn how to make some of Vietnam's most famous dishes, such as pho, banh xeo, and fresh spring rolls. There are many cooking schools in Hoi An, such as the Red Bridge Cooking School or the Green Bamboo Cooking School.
Morning
Start the day with a visit to the Hoi An Silk Village, where you can learn about the silk-making process and watch local artisans at work. You can even purchase some beautiful silk products to take home with you.
Afternoon
After lunch, take a bicycle ride to the Cam Thanh Coconut Village, where you can take a basket boat ride through the mangrove forests and learn about the local fishing practices. You can also try your hand at catching some crabs or fishing with a traditional net.
Evening
In the evening, take a lantern-making class and learn how to make the traditional lanterns that Hoi An is famous for. Afterward, take a stroll through the Old Town and admire the lanterns that light up the streets at night. End the night with a bowl of cao lau, a local noodle dish, at one of the town's many street food stalls.
Morning
Take a day trip to the Ba Na Hills, a mountain resort that boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Take the cable car up to the top of the hills and visit the Golden Bridge, a unique pedestrian bridge that offers breathtaking views. You can also visit the Linh Ung Pagoda and the Fantasy Park amusement park.
Afternoon
After lunch at one of the resort's restaurants, take a dip in the resort's infinity pool and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. You can also visit the French Village, a replica of a French medieval town, and do some shopping at the souvenir shops.
Evening
In the evening, return to Hoi An and enjoy a performance of the Hoi An Traditional Art Performance at the Hoi An Theatre. This hour-long show features traditional music, dance, and theater. Afterward, head to one of the town's many bars, such as the Q Bar or the Dive Bar, for a nightcap.
Morning
Spend your last day in Hoi An exploring the countryside by bicycle. Take a guided tour and visit some of the local villages, such as the Tra Nhieu Fishing Village or the Duy Vinh Village. Learn about the traditional way of life in rural Vietnam and enjoy the scenic countryside.
Afternoon
After lunch, take a dip in the swimming pool at your hotel or visit one of Hoi An's many spas for a relaxing massage or facial. You can also do some last-minute shopping at the many boutiques and tailor shops in town.
