Morning
Start your day in the heart of Istanbul's historic Sultanahmet District. Begin with a visit to the iconic Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya), a marvel of Byzantine architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at its massive dome and stunning mosaics that date back to the 6th century. Afterward, take a short walk to the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii), known for its beautiful blue tiles and six minarets. The mosque is an active place of worship, so be sure to dress modestly.
Afternoon
For lunch, head to Sultanahmet Köftecisi, famous for its delicious Turkish meatballs. Afterward, visit the Topkapi Palace (Topkapi Sarayi), once the residence of Ottoman sultans. Explore its opulent rooms, courtyards, and the Harem section for a glimpse into royal life. Don't miss the Treasury, which houses priceless artifacts including the Topkapi Dagger and Spoonmaker's Diamond.
Evening
As evening approaches, stroll through the historic Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Meydani), where chariot races were once held during Byzantine times. Nearby is the Obelisk of Theodosius, an ancient Egyptian obelisk that was brought to Istanbul in AD 390. For dinner, enjoy traditional Turkish cuisine at Balıkçı Sabahattin, known for its fresh seafood dishes.

Start your third day by exploring one of Istanbul’s lesser-known neighborhoods - Balat (Balat). Visit some local cafes like Coffee Department or Forno Balat serving excellent coffee & pastries.

For lunch head over towards Eminönü district where you can find many eateries but don’t miss trying out fish sandwiches from vendors near Eminönü Pier (Eminonu Pier (Eminönü Iskelesi)). Post-lunch visit nearby Spice Bazaar (Spice Bazaar (Misir Carsisi)) also known as Egyptian Bazaar –a sensory overload filled with exotic spices & sweets making it must-visit place when in Istanbul!
Evening
