Head to the Old City of Kashgar to experience the traditional Uyghur way of life. Wander through the narrow alleys and visit the local bazaar, where you can find everything from spices to textiles to handicrafts. Don't forget to try some of the delicious street food, like lamb kebabs and naan bread.

Take a day trip to Karakul Lake, a stunning alpine lake located about 200 kilometers from Kashgar. On the way, you'll pass through some breathtaking mountain scenery and see traditional Kyrgyz yurts. Once you reach the lake, take a walk along the shore and enjoy the views of the surrounding peaks.
