Begin your day with a visit to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. The shrine is located at an altitude of 5,200 ft and is a 12 km trek from Katra. You can either trek or take a helicopter ride to the shrine. The trek takes around 4-6 hours, and the helicopter ride takes around 5-8 minutes. The trek is a relatively easy one, and you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains and the lush greenery on the way.
Afternoon
After visiting the shrine, you can head back to Katra and explore the local market. The market has a variety of shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, and other items. You can also try some local delicacies like rajma chawal, khatta meat, and kalaadi cheese.
Evening
In the evening, you can visit the Ardh Kuwari Cave, which is located halfway on the trek to the Vaishno Devi shrine. The cave has a natural rock formation that resembles the shape of a half woman. It is believed that Mata Vaishno Devi rested at this cave for some time while on her way to the shrine.

Another must-visit attraction in Katra is the Bhairavnath Temple. It is located at a height of 6,600 ft and is a 2.5 km trek from the Vaishno Devi shrine. The trek is steep and takes around 2-3 hours. The temple is dedicated to Bhairav Nath, who is believed to be the protector of the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi.

After visiting the temple, you can head to the Nau Devi Temple, which is located in the town of Katra. The temple is dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga and is a popular attraction among tourists and locals alike.
Evening
In the evening, you can take a stroll along the Banganga river and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. You can also visit the Charan Paduka Temple, which is located at a height of 3,380 ft and is a 1.5 km trek from the Vaishno Devi shrine. The temple is believed to be the place where Mata Vaishno Devi first rested her feet while on her way to the shrine.

Start your day with a visit to the Shiv Khori Cave Temple, which is located around 70 km from Katra. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be one of the holiest shrines in Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is located inside a cave, and the entrance to the cave resembles the shape of Lord Shiva's Damru.
Afternoon
After visiting the temple, you can head to the Sanjichhat Helipad, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You can also take a helicopter ride from here to the Vaishno Devi shrine.
