Today, explore the town of Kedarnath and its nearby attractions. Visit the Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake located 6 km from Kedarnath. The lake is named after Mahatma Gandhi, who visited the area in 1947.

After visiting the lake, head to the Bhairavnath Temple, located on a hill overlooking Kedarnath. The temple is dedicated to Bhairav, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The trek to the temple is steep but worth the effort for the stunning views of the town and the Himalayas.
