Today, you will visit the first of the Char Dham sites - Yamunotri. Start your day early and drive to Jankichatti, the base camp for Yamunotri. From there, take a 6-kilometer trek to reach the Yamunotri Temple. The trek is beautiful, passing through lush green forests and scenic landscapes. The temple is located on the banks of the Yamuna River, and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the daughter of the Sun God. Take a dip in the hot springs near the temple, which are believed to have healing properties.
