Sample some of the local specialties such as oyster omelets, fried squid, and stinky tofu. Take a stroll around the harbor to see the colorful fishing boats and the historic Heping Island Park.
Afternoon
After a satisfying lunch at the night market, head to the Chung Cheng Park, which offers panoramic views of the city and the ocean. Take a cable car ride to the top of the park to see the statue of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy. Visit the Dianji Temple, an ornate temple dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu.
Evening
For dinner, head to Zhengbin Fishing Port to enjoy a seafood feast. Choose from a variety of freshly caught seafood including crabs, clams, and prawns and have them cooked to your liking by the local restaurants. Finish off the night with a stroll around the bustling Zhongzheng Park.
