5-Day Adventure in Kollam Itinerary

Begin your second day with a visit to Palaruvi Waterfalls. Located about 75 km from Kollam city, this waterfall is one of Kerala's most picturesque natural attractions. The name 'Palaruvi' means 'Stream of Milk,' which aptly describes its milky white appearance as it cascades down from a height of 300 feet. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and offers opportunities for trekking through lush green forests.

After experiencing nature's beauty, head back to Kollam city to explore Thevally Palace. This historic palace situated on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake was once used by Travancore kings as their retreat during their visits to Kollam. The architecture reflects traditional Kerala style blended with colonial influences, making it an interesting site for history enthusiasts.

Spend your evening at Kollam Beach, another beautiful beach in Kollam known for its calm waters and scenic views. Start your third day with a visit to Sasthamkotta Lake, often referred to as 'Queen of Lakes.' It is Kerala's largest freshwater lake surrounded by hills on three sides, providing breathtaking views. The lake is also home to numerous species of birds making it a paradise for bird watchers.

Next, make your way to Jatayu Earth's Center, located about 38 km from Kollam city.
