Morning
Start your day with a visit to Gaya Island (Pulau Gaya). This beautiful island is part of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park and offers stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush rainforest. You can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, diving, or simply relaxing on the beach. The island is just a 20-minute boat ride from Kota Kinabalu, making it an easy and convenient morning excursion.
Afternoon
After your island adventure, head back to the mainland for lunch at Welcome Seafood Restaurant, known for its fresh seafood dishes. Post-lunch, immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to Mari Mari Cultural Village. This cultural village showcases the traditional lifestyles of Sabah's indigenous tribes. You'll get to see traditional houses, watch cultural performances, and even participate in some of the activities. The tour typically lasts around 3 hours.
Evening
In the evening, enjoy dinner at Upperstar Restaurant & Bar, which offers a mix of Western and local cuisine. After dinner, take a leisurely stroll along the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront to soak in the vibrant nightlife and perhaps enjoy a drink at Shamrock Irish Bar.

Wildlife Encounters and Historical Insights
Morning
Begin your second day with a visit to Sabah Museum (Sabah State Museum). This museum provides an excellent overview of Sabah's history, culture, and natural heritage. It features various exhibits including ethnographic collections, historical artifacts, and even a botanical garden. Spend around 2 hours exploring the museum.
Afternoon
For lunch, head over to Fish Market Restaurant for some delicious local cuisine. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting tour: Kota Kinabalu: Private Kundasang and Poring Hot Spring Tour. This tour takes you to Kundasang where you can visit Desa Dairy Farm for some fresh dairy products before heading to Poring Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in its therapeutic waters. The tour also includes visits to scenic spots like Mount Kinabalu Park.
Evening
Return to Kota Kinabalu in time for dinner at Little Italy, famous for its authentic Italian dishes. Conclude your trip with a visit to Signal Hill Observatory Platform where you can enjoy panoramic views of Kota Kinabalu cityscape as it lights up at night.
