Drive to Franconia Sculpture Park, a 43-acre park that features over 120 contemporary sculptures and installations. Take a guided tour or explore on your own. Next, head to Wild Mountain for some outdoor adventure. Hike the trails, go kayaking or canoeing on the St. Croix River, or take a thrilling ride down the alpine slide.
Morning
Start the day with a visit to the charming and historic Swedish Immigrant Trail. Learn about the early Swedish settlers in the area and take a scenic hike through the beautiful countryside. Stop by the Gammelgarden Museum, a living history museum that showcases Swedish immigrant life in the 1800s.
Afternoon
Head to Taylor Falls for a scenic boat tour of the St. Croix River. Along the way, you’ll see stunning rock formations, lush forests, and towering bluffs. After the boat tour, go rock climbing at the Interstate State Park or rent a bike and explore the area on two wheels.
