Take a scenic drive along the coast to visit the Shiretoko National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can explore the beautiful wilderness, go on a guided hike, and see some of the local wildlife such as brown bears, foxes, and deer.

After a morning of adventure, head to the Abashiri Ryuhyo Museum to learn about the unique phenomenon of drift ice that occurs in the Sea of Okhotsk. You can even take a tour on a specially designed icebreaker boat to see the ice up close.

Dine at a local izakaya to try some of the local dishes such as grilled squid, fried chicken, and Japanese-style pickles.

Spend the day exploring the nearby town of Kitami, known for its beautiful cherry blossom trees in the springtime. Visit the Kitami Mint Memorial Museum to learn about the history of the area's mint industry, and take a stroll through the Kitami Rose Garden to see the beautiful flowers in bloom.

After lunch, head to the Sounkyo Gorge to see the stunning waterfalls and rock formations. Take a cable car up to the top of Mount Kurodake for panoramic views of the surrounding area.

For dinner, try the local specialty of butadon, a bowl of rice topped with grilled pork and vegetables.

Take a day trip to the nearby city of Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido. Visit the Sapporo Beer Museum to learn about the history of beer in Japan and enjoy a tasting. Take a walk through the Odori Park to see the beautiful gardens and sculptures.

After lunch, head to the Hokkaido Shrine to see the traditional Japanese architecture and learn about the local Shinto religion. Take a stroll through the nearby Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade to find souvenirs and gifts.

For dinner, try some of the local ramen at one of the many ramen shops in Sapporo.

Spend your last day in Memanbetsu relaxing at the nearby beaches of Abashiri or Shari. Take a dip in the cool waters and soak up the sun.

After lunch, visit the Okhotsk Tokkari Center to see the adorable local seals up close and learn about their conservation.

Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, trying some of the local delicacies such as grilled lamb or venison.
