Start your first day in Montenegro with a visit to Kotor Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through the narrow streets and alleys, taking in the mix of architectural styles from the medieval period to the 17th and 18th centuries. Visit St. Tryphon Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century, and climb to the top of the city walls for a stunning view of the bay.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, head to the nearby village of Perast, located on the Bay of Kotor. Here, you can take a boat ride out to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made island with a beautiful church and museum. Afterward, stroll through the village and stop at one of the waterfront restaurants for fresh seafood.

On your second day, head to Lovcen National Park, located a short drive from Kotor. Here, you can hike to the top of Mount Lovcen for panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Along the way, you'll pass through forests, tunnels, and past historic monuments.
Afternoon
After your hike, stop at the village of Njegusi for lunch. This village is known for its smoked ham and cheese, which you can sample at one of the local restaurants. Afterward, head to the nearby town of Cetinje, the historic capital of Montenegro. Here, you can visit the Cetinje Monastery and the National Museum of Montenegro.

Start your day with a visit to the Ostrog Monastery, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Balkans. The monastery is built into a cliff face, and the views from the top are breathtaking.
Afternoon
After your visit to the monastery, head to Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans. Here, you can take a boat tour of the lake and its islands, or go swimming or kayaking in the clear waters. Be sure to stop at one of the lakeside restaurants for lunch.

On your fourth day, head to the Durmitor National Park, located in the northwestern part of Montenegro. Here, you can hike to the top of Bobotov Kuk, the highest peak in the park. Along the way, you'll pass through forests, glacial lakes, and past historic monuments.
Afternoon
After your hike, stop at the nearby town of Zabljak for lunch. This town is known for its hearty mountain cuisine, including lamb stew and grilled meats. Afterward, head to the nearby Tara River Canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world. Here, you can go rafting or kayaking for an adrenaline-filled afternoon.
Morning
On your final day in Montenegro, head to the town of Herceg Novi, located on the entrance of the Bay of Kotor. Here, you can visit the historic old town and the fortress of Forte Mare. Take a stroll along the seaside promenade and stop at one of the cafes for a coffee.
Afternoon
Afterward, head to the nearby Lu tica Peninsula, known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or swimming in the sea.
