Admire the incredible architecture and learn about the history of this famous landmark. Arrive early to beat the crowds and take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures.
Afternoon
After a morning at the Colosseum, head over to the Roman Forum, located just a short walk away. This sprawling complex of ruins was once the center of Ancient Rome and includes numerous temples, arches, and government buildings. Take your time exploring the various ruins and imagining what life was like in this bustling city thousands of years ago.
Evening
End your first day with a visit to Trastevere, a charming neighborhood filled with narrow cobblestone streets, beautiful churches, and lovely piazzas. This area is known for its excellent restaurants, so be sure to indulge in some delicious Italian cuisine. Try the traditional Roman dish of cacio e pepe or indulge in some pizza al taglio.
Morning
Start your second day with a visit to the Vatican Museums. This collection of art and artifacts is home to some of the most famous works in the world, including the Sistine Chapel. Be sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid the long lines.

Evening

Finally, enjoy a delicious meal at one of Rome's many restaurants. Try the traditional dish of spaghetti alla carbonara or indulge in some gelato for dessert.
