Afternoon
After the museum, head to the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to over 100 rescued chimpanzees that were either orphaned or confiscated from the illegal pet trade. You will have the chance to learn about these intelligent primates and watch them play in their natural habitat.
Morning
Spend your morning exploring the Bunce Island Slave Fort. This historic site was one of the largest slave trading centers in West Africa during the 18th century. You will learn about the tragic history of the transatlantic slave trade and see the ruins of the fort that once held captive Africans.
Afternoon
After Bunce Island, take a boat tour to Banana Island. This beautiful island is known for its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. You can relax on the beach, go snorkeling, or take a tour of the island's small fishing villages.
