Start your day early in the morning and head to the Taroko National Park Visitor Center to get a map and information about the park. From there, take a shuttle bus to the start of the Shakadang Trail, a scenic trail that runs along the river and through the gorge. The trail is easy and takes about 2 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll see beautiful scenery, clear river water, and lush vegetation.
Afternoon
After the hike, take the shuttle bus to the Swallow Grotto Trail. This trail is more challenging than the Shakadang Trail and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll see amazing views of the gorge, including the famous "Eternal Spring Shrine". Don't forget your camera!
Morning
On your second day, take a guided tour of the Taroko Gorge. Your guide will take you to the best viewpoints and show you the most iconic landmarks, including the Qingshui Cliff, Lushui Trail, and Baiyang Waterfall. Along the way, you'll learn about the history and geology of the gorge, as well as the flora and fauna that call it home.
Afternoon
After the tour, head to the nearby town of Hualien for lunch. Hualien is known for its delicious seafood, so be sure to try some of the local specialties. After lunch, explore the town's night market, which is full of food stalls, souvenir shops, and carnival games.

On your third day, take a day trip to the nearby Qingshui Cliff, which is one of the most beautiful coastal areas in Taiwan. The cliff rises 800 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. You can take a bus from Hualien to the cliff, or hire a private driver for a more personalized experience.

After visiting the Qingshui Cliff, head to the nearby town of Fenglin to visit the National Museum of Prehistory. This museum showcases the history of Taiwan's indigenous people and has an impressive collection of artifacts and exhibits.

On your fourth day, take a bike ride along the Xiuguluan River. This scenic river is surrounded by lush vegetation and is a popular spot for kayaking and rafting. You can rent a bike in Hualien and ride along the river for several kilometers, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery.
