Start your first day in West Yellowstone with a visit to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, where you can see the two animals in their natural habitat and learn about their behavior and conservation efforts. Afterward, head to the Yellowstone Historic Center to learn about the history of the area and the park before grabbing lunch at the Slippery Otter Pub.
Afternoon
Spend the afternoon exploring the park's west entrance with a guided tour from Yellowstone Safari Company, where you can see Old Faithful, the Grand Prismatic Spring, and other iconic landmarks. If you have time, stop by the West Thumb Geyser Basin and see the colorful hot springs and geysers. End your day with dinner at the Wild West Pizzeria & Saloon for some delicious wood-fired pizza.
Morning
Start the day with a hike to the top of Bunsen Peak for panoramic views of the park. Afterward, stop by the Yellowstone Association Bookstore to pick up a guidebook before heading to the Norris Geyser Basin to see the impressive geysers and hot springs.
