What a country this is! 🥰 I think it’s safe to say that pretty much all countries I travel to leave a lasting impression, but most not to the same kind of level that Sri Lanka has! This country has it all from the lush green forests, sprawling tea plantations, and misty hills, to the golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. This post was meant to be a sort of goodbye to Sri Lanka, as by now we were meant to be on a boat reaching a far away island in the Maldives. But I guess there were other plans, good or bad we will have to see. Unfortunately yesterday on our way to the airport someone on the bus stole Jonny’s passport from his bag, this meant loosing our flight and overstating our visa. Many at the police station were outraged as yesterday was a Buddhist holiday called Poya (where you shouldn’t do anything that brings bad Karma or to hurt others) so they are doing all they can to find it. In the mean time Jonny is searching the streets hoping this person realised that was a passport and so not valuable and thrown it away. The calm we kept during all of this still amazes me.
