Morning
Start your day at the Kushida Shrine, one of the most prominent shrines in Fukuoka. From there, head to the nearby Canal City Hakata, an enormous shopping center with a canal running through the middle. After shopping, stop by Ramen Stadium, where you can try eight different types of ramen from all over Japan.
Afternoon
Take a ferry to Nokonoshima Island and spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful island. There are plenty of hiking trails, a flower park, and beaches to enjoy. For dinner, head back to Fukuoka and try some of the city's famous yatai street food.
Evening
End the day with a visit to Fukuoka Tower, a 234-meter tall tower with an observation deck offering panoramic views of the city.

Take a train to Hiroshima and visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a somber reminder of the atomic bombing of the city in 1945. From there, head to the Hiroshima Castle, a stunning castle with a moat and a beautiful garden.
Afternoon
Take a short train ride to Miyajima Island, one of the most scenic spots in Japan. Visit the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its torii gate in the water. Don't forget to try some local delicacies, such as oysters and momiji manju.
Evening
Head back to Hiroshima for dinner at Okonomimura, a multi-story building dedicated to Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, a savory pancake filled with cabbage, noodles, and your choice of meat or seafood.

Take a train to Nagasaki and visit the Nagasaki Peace Park, another memorial to the atomic bombing of Japan. From there, head to the Glover Garden, a beautiful park with Western-style houses and gardens.
Afternoon
Visit the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture, which houses artifacts from Nagasaki's long and fascinating history. Then take a walk through the Dejima district, a former Dutch trading post and now a charming neighborhood with narrow streets and old buildings.
Evening
For dinner, try some champon, a Nagasaki specialty dish made with noodles, seafood, and vegetables. Try it at the famous Ringer Hut restaurant, which has been serving champon since 1960.
